Meek moved to amend the agenda to include an executive session for the purpose of receiving legal advice pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes Section 24-6-402(4)(b), regarding legal protections available to district personnel.
Second: The motion was seconded by Mr. Geiger.
Vote: The motion to add the executive session was unanimously approved, with all members voting aye.
Thompson proposed a friendly amendment to Meek’s motion to amend the agenda further by adding a new agenda item for an open discussion on recent student/staff events that could be perceived as harassment.
Acceptance: Meek accepted the amendment, agreeing to keep the items separate.
Motion: Thompson then formally moved to add the new agenda item for open discussion.
