Summary :
|
In September 2022, the Town of Castle Rock Water department approached the district with a request to install a temporary small lawn irrigation return flow monitoring well on a vacant dedicated elementary school site. The request is to install a temporary monitoring well along the perimeter of the Red Hawk dedicated school site located at the intersection of Red Hawk Drive and Fairway Wood Circle. The dedicated school site is 10.1 acres, is currently owned by the Town of Castle Rock, and can be identified by its legal description Red Hawk Filing 3, Tract G. The site is not needed in the next five years for enrollment capacity relief. The well location on the site will not interfere with the construction of a school or use of the property as a school site. The Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) acknowledges that the Town of Castle Rock as the property owner has the right to construct the well. DCSD staff has reviewed all terms and conditions of the IGA and has no objection to the construction of the well. The IGA is needed in the case that ownership of the site passes to DCSD while the well is still in operation. |
