Summary :
|
An assessment of the track conditions was performed by DCSD staff and a pre-qualified consultant. The assessment included core sampling and a soil conditions assessment. Based on the assessment, a recommendation was made for track improvements at Legend High School.
A pre-bid conference was held on January 7, 2021 with DCSD’s preferred track resurfacing vendor, FieldTurf USA. The preferred vendor is a member of a national purchasing cooperative which ensures competitive pricing procedures are followed. Bids were received from FieldTurf USA on January 27, 2021 for Legend High School.
Track resurfacing capital renewal projects are included in the 2018 Bond as Tier 2 projects since they directly support educational programming. A track resurfacing contractor is required to perform this work.
A Construction Agreement was issued to FieldTurf USA for Legend High School track resurfacing and associated sub-surface work in the amount of $821,587.
