Summary : Colorado state law requires school districts to adopt a policy that addresses how a student who has an order or recommendation from a qualified health-care provider, called a “private health care specialist” for medically necessary treatment receives such treatment in the school setting as required by applicable federal and state laws, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
