DCSD has entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Aurora Charter School BC to purchase an educational facility and property located at 10235 Parkglenn Way, Parker, Colorado (the “Parkglenn School Property”). The District’s purchase of the Parkglenn School Property is scheduled to close on or before June 30, 2024, unless extended by agreement. The Parkglenn School Property is intended to be utilized to house the Parker Bridge and Child Find programs currently located on another District site in Parker. District administrators believe it is in the best interests of the District to name this property as soon as practicable upon or after closing so that the Parkglenn School Property is recognized as a District facility and is generally identified for the nature of services provided at 10235 Parkglenn Way, Parker, Colorado. District staff recommends that the Parkglenn School Property be named the “Douglas County School District Student Support Center Parker.” The Board of Education has the final decision-making authority with respect to the naming of facilities as stated in Board File Policy FF.
