Summary :
|
Staff is requesting Board of Education approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Douglas County School District and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Castle Rock regarding the shared costs for providing Deputy Sheriffs to the School District to act as School Resource Officers (SRO).
Specifically for the Town of Castle Rock, the agreement includes the addition of two (2) School Resource Officers (SRO) funded by the 2023 Mill Levy Override (MLO) funds.
The contract is applicable for the 2024-2025 school year, featuring yearly automatic renewals contingent upon the mutual approval of both parties.
