On February 18, 2025, a Construction Agreement with Hellas Construction, Inc. was issued in the amount of $584,540.00 for the track resurfacing at Chaparral High School.
Due to the unforeseen failure of the soil subgrade over approximately half of the track, the existing subgrade underneath the track had to be removed and treated, and reconstructed prior to the asphalt and track surface being replaced.
The total amount for Change Order 1 is $67,230.24. With approval of Change Order 1, the total contract cost to Hellas Construction, Inc. will increase to $651,770.24.
Change Order 1 and the total contract cost to Hellas Construction, Inc. is included in the 2024 Bond Plan and the 2024 Bond funds will pay for this change order.
