Summary :
|
Douglas County School District owns a 20-acre site on Pine Drive in Parker. The north two (2) acres (Tract H) are under the jurisdiction of Douglas County, while the south eighteen (18) acres (Parcels A, B, and C) are under the jurisdiction of the Town of Parker.
In order to simplify the jurisdictional authority for this site, the north two (2) acres (Tract H) will be annexed into the Town of Parker.
On March 23, 2021, the Board of Education approved the annexation of the north two (2) acres of the Pine Drive School Site into the Town of Parker and signed the Petition for Annexation. Staff has since finalized the Annexation Agreement.
Superintendent Wise signed the Annexation Agreement on September 30, 2021, in order to adhere to the Town of Parker’s approval timeline. As such, staff is requesting the Board of Education ratify the agreement.
