Summary :
|
Hope Online Learning Academy Co-Op is applying for the CDE School Counselor Corps Grant for their high school. If granted approval through CDE’s internal grant approval review process, the school will engage in the activities as outlined in their application to CDE. The intent of the grant funds is to increase the availability and implementation of effective school-based counseling to increase the state graduation rate and increase the percentage of students who appropriately prepare for, apply to, and continue into postsecondary education with priority given to schools most impacted and with higher FRL%s and low graduation rates. Hope Online will utilize funds to support counseling services to HS students. Submission to CDE was through an abbreviated online application process. Upon CDE review of all incoming requests, determinations will be made of funding amounts for eligible schools. Funding is for the 23-24 school year and three future years depending on approval of appropriations for the grant funds. For the CDE School Counselor Corps Grant, Board knowledge of the grant application request by charters is required as part of the submission of the application and acceptance of grant funds by the District as the fiscal agent for the grant. CDE will be scoring, approving and awarding the grant application and funds. If the grant is awarded CDE has an extensive evaluation process in place for the use of the grant funds and related activities. The Grant Request is for $85,500 23-24. Future years pending approval of appropriations. |
